We are really chuffed to announce that we are now supporting local athlete, Isobel Pooley, as she attempts to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Isobel trains locally at the Aldershot Farnham and District Athletics Club in Aldershot. Tooting-born Isobel, now living in Fleet, has been jumping since the age of 13 and at just 18 has already won gold at the U20 Championships moving her into 4th in the World U20 rankings.

“I'm really grateful to Barons Farnborough and MINI for their support,” said Isobel. “It’s tough trying to qualify for an Olympic place and it’s a big help knowing that they are behind me, helping to raise funds and awareness. It’s also fantastic having a brand new MINI One Hatch from now until the end of the 2012 Games. There’s a lot of travelling to heats, competitions and promotional events so it’s great being able to arrive there in style.”
